Reach is the developing community arm at Christian Life Church. It is the vehicle through which we seek to connect with our community and help in our world. Reach has several ongoing projects which are detailed below along with others that are in various stages of development.
ACTS OF KINDNESS
Each week we receive contributions of non-perishable food items from which we create food hampers that go to the most needy and vulnerable in our society. We have a good relationship with local police that allows us to respond via this project to situations of immediate crisis.
BASKETS OF LOVE
This is our annual Christmas give away. Each year we make up baskets filled with Christmas gifts and goodies for women who are survivors of human trafficking, those fleeing from domestic violence and women who are rebuilding their lives in rehabilitation projects. We have some great relationships with charities involved in these areas and work closely with them.
CARE PACKAGES FOR PREGNANT SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING
These packages comprise a Moses basket filled with everything a mum-to-be would need. These packages are specifically tailored to meet the individual needs of the survivors and to give their baby a great start in life. We have an annual 5km walk/run/scoot/skate fundraiser to help finance this project.
EARLY INTERVENTION MENTORING
For several years we have provided support for schools who have pupils at risk of exclusion by providing much needed one to one or group mentoring.
We are excited about the future and seeing more and more projects develop that make a huge difference in our world.
